The EYARC Experience platform contains several assignments that will allow faculty to teach in an entirely new way by using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and other innovative resources. The assignments within the platform are designed to teach in ways that are fun and engaging. As an example of the innovation in the EYARC Experience platform, consider auditing and tax classes. In traditional auditing and tax classes, students are given a set of facts or circumstances but they don’t get much practice with actual inquiry. In a classroom with more than 30 students, it’s not efficient or practical for faculty to host one-on-one interviews with their students. Neither is it effective to have students interview one another as they lack experience. With generative AI, faculty can now give students experience with inquiry in an efficient and effective manner.
This webinar will cover the 14 cases currently in the EYARC Experience platform available for your use this fall, as well as a peek at what is coming. The platform currently contains content for audit, tax, financial and accounting information systems courses. This platform is not meant to replace what you are currently teaching, but it can enhance the learning experience for your students. It’s not meant to replace or be a learning management system, but supplement it.
As a reminder, all EYARC materials are free to faculty and staff at not-for-profit higher educational institutions.
Learning objective: Upon completion of this learning activity, participants will be able to demonstrate proficiency in navigating the EYARC Experience platform, select relevant case studies for classroom use, and apply best practices for integrating these materials into accounting curricula.
